Police Car Overturns In Anderson

Anderson City Police say an officer's car flipped Sunday night on River Street.
 
Police tell 7 On Your Side, just before 6:00 p.m. a truck turned in front of the officer, forcing him to swerve and causing his car to flip over near Shockley Ferry Road.
 
Authorities say the officer was not injured, but taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons.
 
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is handling the investigation, which is standard procedure.
 
Troopers say the identity of the other driver is unknown. The Highway Patrol will determine if any charges will be filed against the other driver.
