Slow down and watch out for construction work on Interstate 26 in Spartanburg County.

Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m.,  crews will close the left lane of I-26 Eastbound and the shoulder on I-26 Westbound.  The closures will be located between mile markers 3 and 7 near the SC 11 Bridge.

The Eastbound lane will open no later than 5:50 p.m. and the Westbound shoulder will open no later than 2:00 p.m.

The closure is necessary to allow contractors to dismantle the scaffolding at the SC 11 Bridge.

Anyone traveling near the construction zone is urged to slow down, and be aware of equipment and crews working in the area at all times.

All road work is dependent on the weather.
