ANDERSON, SC -

A stabbing in the city of Anderson has left one woman dead.

According to Sergeant Tony Tilley of the Anderson Police Department, officers responded to a vehicle accident on I Street just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night. Anderson County Deputy Coroner Charlie Boseman said that upon arriving, officers found a woman, identified as 29-year-old Kalisha Williams, of Pendleton, in the car suffering from a stab wound to the chest that she had suffered after getting into an altercation with another woman at a home on I Street.

Boseman said that Williams attempted to get away from the home and got into a car. She drove just a short distance before crashing into a porch at a home on I Street.

Boseman said that Williams was transported to AnMed Health Medical Center where she died at 7:15 pm. The woman accused in the stabbing was also transported to AnMed with superficial wounds.

According to Tilley, the investigation is still in its early stages. No charges have been filed.
