Greenville Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Friday night.

The shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. on Joe Louis Street. Greenville Police Department spokesman Johnathan Bragg said that there was a disturbance at a home and a man was shot. The victim was transported by personal vehicle to Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.

Bragg said that the investigation is still ongoing. There was no immediate word available on whether a suspect was being sought or anyone was in custody.
