CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Clemson running back Andre Ellington worked out for at least 20 NFL teams Friday, a month after a hamstring injury forced him to pull up while running the 40-yard dash at the league's scouting combine.
Ellington posted an unofficial time of 4.51 seconds in the 40-yard dash at Clemson's indoor football practice facility. He had a time of 4.61 at the combine.
The two-time 1,000-yard rusher dealt with hamstring problems late season, yet started all 13 games and led the Tigers with 1,081 yards rushing. Ellington withdrew from the Senior Bowl in January after re-injuring his hamstring, and he missed Clemson's pro day on March 7.
Ellington is projected by draft analysts to go anywhere from the second to fourth rounds.
