Vote Tuesday On Anderson County Jobs Plan

Posted: Updated:
ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. -

Another vote to bring dozens of jobs to Anderson County is scheduled for Tuesday.

County leaders say under "Project EMB" an unnamed manufacturer wants to invest nearly $6 million dollars and hire 150 people.

Last week county council held a special meeting just to approve incentives for a different company code named "Project Mustang".

Tuesday meets at 6:00 p.m. to vote on the incentives for "Project EMB".

The county hopes to lure in the jobs with permit fee waivers and promises to locate in a business park.
