An arrest has been made in a Spartanburg County shooting that took place Monday evening.

Deputies say Joy Denise Lockey, 30, has been charged with attempted murder.

Investigators say the victim who was allegedly shot by Lockey gave them information that led to the suspect.

The victim drove himself to the hospital, suffering from a gunshot wound after the incident.

Lockey is being held in the Spartanburg County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

Officials are unsure of the exact motive, but they say drugs were involved.

The condition of the victim has not yet been made available.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that occurred on Monday evening.

Deputies tell 7 On Your Side that around 6:45 p.m. on Monday a man with a gunshot wound drove himself to Greer Memorial Hospital.

The victim has not been able to provide authorities with a definite location of the shooting, so they are looking at a few different locations trying to find evidence of a crime scene.

The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.
