Two People Shot Outside Convenience Store In Cherokee County

Cherokee County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday night.

Captain Richard Turner of the sheriff's office said that a fight between two men broke out in the parking lot of a convenience store and night club on Cherokee Avenue. When a group of people gathered around the two men, gunshots were fired and a man was shot in the leg and a woman in the hand.

Both victims were transported to Upstate Regional Hospital in Gaffney with non-life threatening injuries. No suspects had been identified, Turner said, but witnesses and the victim's were being interviewed about the incident.
