Posted: Updated:
SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. -

A man walked into a Lil Cricket and robbed it on Wednesday night.

The robbery happened at the store AT 1980 Chesnee Highway in Spartanburg County.

Investigators with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office say that a man wearing a gray hoodie sweatshirt with the hood over his head and something covering his face entered the store. In a report obtained from the sheriff's office, the store's clerk stated that the man came to the counter and pointed a semi-automatic pistol from the hoodie and told her to "give him the money."

The clerk laid the money on the counter and the suspect took some more out of the drawer, the report states. The suspect then fled the store  going back toward Cleveland Chapel Road.

The suspect is described as 6-foot-1 and the hoodie had black vertical stripes going down both sleeves. He was also wearing a baseball cap believed to be red and white.

If you have any information about the armed robbery, please contact CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
