Spartanburg Woman Dies in Collision

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -

The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office says a woman from Spartanburg was killed in an accident Saturday afternoon.

The coroner says it happened at 2:10 pm Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Warren H. Abernathy Highway and Fairforest Clevedale Road in Spartanburg County.

The coroner's office identified the woman as 58 year old Alice "Dawn" Gault Taylor of Spartanburg.  They say she died at the scene and was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision.

No word on the details of the accident.  The coroner's office is investigating the accident along with Wellford Police.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol Multi-Disciplinary Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) has been called to reconstruct the collision.
