Posted: Updated:
SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. -

Spartanburg Regional Hospital and Spartanburg County Emergency Management say they are prepared if a similar incident to Monday's Boston Marathon bombing happened in the Upstate.

Hospital Emergency Manager Jeff Straub says Spartanburg Regional has an emergency plan that leaders practice year around, especially since the hospital is a Trauma One center. And they see some of the worst emergency victims in the Upstate.

Straub says the hospital's plan can  change hour by hour depending on the situation and the condition of the victims involved.

Spartanburg Regional also says it works with other hospitals and other  county emergency management departments during traumatic incidents and natural disasters.

The hospital has a Command Center where leaders can go to strategize with emergency responders across the Upstate is something this tragic were to happen here.
