GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. -

Nearly a dozen cars have been vandalized in one Greenville County neighborhood.

The Sheriff's Office says someone spray painted 10 vehicles in the Spring Grove Apartments Complex at 1900 Boling Road Extension.

Investigators aren't sure whether the vandalism was committed by one individual or a group of people.

Investigators did find a similarity in some of the vandalisms, which was the letter D-25. The letter and numbers could stand for District 25, an area in Greenville County that has been known to harbor violence in the past.

In February, Sheriff Loftis held a press conference explaining that the 6 homicides that happened in the county likely resulted from gang violence.

Deputies said they have made no connections at all with the most recent vandalisms. Some neighbors believed it was a group of neighborhood kids fooling around. Regardless, neighbor Rhodeesha Brown expressed her intentions of moving out if nothing was done to keep them safe.

"I'd like to find a new place or see more police patrols here. I'd also like staff to consider security cameras," she said.

Deputies said two county deputies stay at the complex right now and will work with Apartment Complex staff to increase security and amp up patrols.

They're now asking anyone who may have information regarding this case to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
