Brian McGill appeared before a judge Wednesday morning, but no bond was set. 

The judge said he would consider bond for McGill while waiting to learn more about the condition of the victim.

the victim's mother said her son was "fighting for his life" Wednesday morning.

Brian McGill is scheduled to face a judge on Wednesday morning for a bond hearing. He is charged with attempted murder in connection with a shooting at Aunt M's convenience story in Cherokee County on Monday night.

Cherokee County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested a man Tuesday morning on a charge of attempted murder.

Brian Lamar McGill was taken into custody around 10:30 a.m. Deputies say McGill was involved at an altercation about 13 hours earlier at Aunt M's  at 100 Shelby Highway.

One victim with a single gunshot wound to the head was found when deputies arrived.

The victim was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, but his condition is unknown.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office at 864-489-4722.

Cherokee County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting outside a gas station Monday night that left one person injured.

According to a sheriff's office spokesman, the shooting happened outside the Kangaroo gas station at 100 Shelby Highway in Gaffney. Deputies say that a argument started between two people inside Aunt M's Fried Chicken and spilled over to outside the gas station. Deputies say that one person was shot as a result of the altercation and the shooter fled the scene.

The victim was airlifted to Spartanburg Regional Hospital. Deputies are currently looking for a person-of-interest, Brian Lamar McGill, who is believed to be driving a black 1996 Chevrolet Impala with a green hood.
