Sewer Covers Stolen From Spartanburg County Subdivision

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. -

Spartanburg County deputies are investigating the theft of sewer covers that will cost nearly $2,000 to replace.

The sheriff's office reports five covers are missing at the Glen Lakes subdivision at Culverhouse Road and Shoreline Boulevard.

A Spartanburg Water System employee reported the thefts of the covers which are very heavy and cost approximately $400 apiece.

The thefts were reported Tuesday, but the SWS employee says they were last confirmed to be in place on April 20.
