WATCH: Sanford, Colbert Busch Debate Monday Evening

CHARLESTON, S.C. -

Viewers in South Carolina and beyond will be able to see the first head-to-head meeting between former Gov. Mark Sanford and Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch in their race for the state's 1st Congressional District seat.

South Carolina Educational Television and Charleston television station WCBD both said they will be streaming the Monday evening debate live on the Internet.

The candidates meet at The Citadel. The debate is sponsored by the Patch news service and the South Carolina Radio Network.

Their only other joint appearance now scheduled is a forum next Tuesday night sponsored by the Goose Creek NAACP.

Sanford, Colbert Busch and Green Party candidate Eugene Platt meet May 7 in a special election to fill the congressional seat left vacant by U.S. Sen. Tim Scott.

Live coverage will start at 7 p.m.  Watch it in the player above via our sister station, WCBD.

     The Highway Patrol says a pedestrian was hit and killed while trying to cross Wade Hampton Boulevard Tuesday night.It happened at 9:14 near Rushmore Drive in Greenville County. Troopers say a 17-year-old driver was traveling north when the person was attempting to cross and walked in front of the SUV.Investigators tell 7 on Your Side the victim died at the scene.SCHP says no charges will be filed in the case.
