United Way Donates Money to Fund Upstate Community Programs

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. -

A gift from the United Way of Greenville County will keep more than 100 Upstate programs running.

The group announced more than $13.3 million for community programs, initiatives and services today. The money will help fund 106 programs offered by 69 agencies throughout the area, including 28 brand new programs.

United Way officials made the announcement at Pendleton Place in Greenville. It's a home for abused and neglected children. It's also one of the groups that will benefit from today's announcement, getting nearly $200,000 to fund programs.
