Asheville Make Arrest In Second Homicide Of 2013

ASHEVILLE, N.C. -

April 29, 2013 Update 9:30 a.m.

A teenager turned himself into police for a weekend homicide in Asheville.

Asheville Police say Danras Damoy Bunsie, 16, surrendered overnight to authorities.  He was charged with second degree murder and assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to kill.

Bunsie's bond was set at $750,000.  Bunsie will have a first appearance in court Monday.

Asheville Police say they are investigating their second homicide of the year.

Authorities say they got the call around 2:50 am Sunday on North Market Street near the Vincenzo's Restaurant.

Police say there was a fight that led to a stabbbing.

Officers say 35 year old Travis Schoon of Bowie, Maryland was stabbed in the chest.

Schoon was taken to Mission Hospital, where he later died.

Officers believe the attacker was a black male last seen running north towards I-240.
