Complaint Against Union Co. School District Being Investigated

UNION COUNTY, S.C. -

The U.S. Department of Education is investigating a complaint against the Union County School District.

Officials say a parent has complained of discrimination when it comes to what athletic programs the district offers for boys versus girls.

Superintendent Kristi Woodall responded to the investigation by saying, "While we are condiment there has been no discrimination in the athletic opportunities provided to our female students, we welcome any feedback and suggestions on improvements or changes needed."
