Update: Car Hits and Kills Man In Greenville County

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly wreck that happened Wednesday night. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly wreck that happened Wednesday night.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a man in Greenville County on Wednesday night around 9:25 p.m.

Troopers said a vehicle driving on SC-290 near Fairview Road near Greer struck the man who was walking in the same direction.

The Greenville County Coroner's Office says 47-year-old Danny Thomas Coxie of Taylors died at the scene.  An autopsy will be performed Thursday morning.

So far no charges have been filed.
