Two people have been arrested in connection with a pair of armed robberies in Anderson County last year.

Anderson County Sheriff's Office spokesman Chad McBride stated that deputies with the Sheriff's Office Gang Task Force and agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms arrested 21-year-old Melanie Vasquez and 27-year-old Ezra Pressley,  of Anderson, at Vasquez's residence on Amberwood Drive in Anderson.

According to McBride, Vasquez was arrested on Tuesday for an armed robbery that happened at the Dollar General store at 3309 Pelzer Highway on July 28, 2012. He stated that Pressley was arrested for his involvement in an armed robbery at the Check N Go at 1475E Pearman Dairy Road on June 8, 2012.

Vasquez and Pressley are facing federal charges in relationship with the crimes, McBride said.
