Greenville Man Charged With Failing To Pay Taxes For Four Years

GREENVILLE, S.C. -

A man from Greenville was arrested and charged with failure to pay income taxes.

A spokeswoman for the South Carolina Department of Revenue said that investigators charged 52-year-old Ronnie Gene Rodgers with four counts of failing to file an income tax return. Investigators say that Rodgers, who owned and operated a bakery, earned $712,614 from 2006 through 2009 and failed to report his income during those years. His liability for that timeframe is $22,216

He faces up to four years in prison and/or fines of up to $40,000 if convicted. He is currently being held at the Greenville County Detention Center on temporary bond.
