Spartanburg, SC -

The USC Upstate Police Department is asking for assistance in finding a person-of-interest after a ATM was burglarized and set on fire last month.

According to a spokesperson with USC Upstate, investigators are looking for a white male between 19-24 years of age after he was seen walking back and forth in front of the ATM before it was burglarized. The man is approximately 5'8" - 5'10' with brown or reddish hair. He was wearing blue jeans, tennis shows, a tan/brown baseball type of cap and a grey t-shirt with possibly an image of Marilyn Monroe on the front and a weaved belt down the side of his jeans.

Investigators say he has noticeable sideburns, broad shoulders and gait in his walk. He was also wearing a pink bracelet.

The ATM was vandalized on April 13 in the USC Upstate Health and Education Complex. The suspect used a pry bar and torch to try and break-in to the ATM. The ATM caught fire and burned the walls around the machine.

If anyone has any information about the suspect they are asked to call USC Upstate Police at (864) 503-5271.
