Palmetto Seeks New Football Coach As LeCroy Steps Down

Posted: Updated:
Williamston, SC -

Jody LeCroy has stepped down as Palmetto High School's head football coach and athletic director, citing philosophical differences with the school's current administration in a quote to the Anderson Independent.

LeCroy tells 7 On Your Side he'll join the coaching staff at Crescent High as an assistant.

In seven seasons guiding Palmetto, LeCroy posted a 37-39 record. His 2010 team went 9-3 and won the Skyline AA title.

Last season was the Mustangs' first on the AAA level.

A search is underway for his successor. The interview process is scheduled to begin next week.
