Local Honor Flight Heads To The Nation's Capitol

GREER, S.C. -

A special flight is headed to Washington, D.C. Tuesday.  A group of 75 World War II veterans are taking a part in a Honor Flight from the Greenville Spartanburg International Airport.   This is the tenth trip from the Upstate.  The group, accompanied by sixty guardians, doctors, nurses and support staff, will visit the World War II, Vietnam, Korean and Marine Corps War Memorials in addition to viewing the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery.

The veterans are scheduled to return to the airport Tuesday evening around 8 p.m.
