GREENVILLE, S.C. -

Clemson University has received a gift of an office, classroom and storefront space valued at more than $9 million in downtown Greenville.

The partners of Greenville ONE: Hughes Development Corporation and GAB Properties LLC gift includes 70,000 square feet: floors five, six, seven and eight and prime ground-floor space to welcome Greenville residents and visitors to "The Clemson Experience."

The university's College of Business and Behavioral Science will occupy four floors of the new building.

ONE also will be home to three centers and institutes: the Clemson Center for Corporate Learning, the Arthur M. Spiro Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership and the Greenville Branch of the Small Business Development Center.

The building will become a hub for Clemson's business education and entrepreneurism programs.

"Moving to ONE will allow us to continue on our mission of delivering the highest-quality business education in the Upstate," said Greg Pickett, associate dean of the College of Business and Behavioral Science in a written statement.

"The location and layout of the building are inviting in and of themselves, but it's the technology and cutting-edge classroom spaces that will have the biggest impact for our students. I think ONE is going to be a place students will love to be and will provide them with all the amenities they desire."
