Anderson Deputies Hold Church Safety Training

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office want to teach you how to better protect yourself and your fellow churchgoers. They're holding a church safety training seminar at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18th at the Anderson Civic Center.

Deputies scheduled the training session after community members told them, they were worried about the growing number of attacks on people in church and at church functions.

The seminar will cover such topics as:

  • How to start a Church Safety Ministry Team
  • Reading the subjects body language
  • Working as a team
  • Defensive Maneuvers
  • Subject compliance holds
The class will teach you how to take charge of an unruly person and escort the person outside, without causing harm to the individual or anyone else.
