The South Carolina High School League Executive Committee will hear Chapman's appeal of its disputed 3A playoff softball game Monday at 9 a.m.
Late Wednesday afternoon the SCHSL froze the 3A upper state softball playoffs to further review the outcome of Tuesday night's contest.
The game was initially declared suspended due to poor weather in the top of the 6th inning after Chapman had scored three runs to take a 3-2 lead.
The game's umpire later ruled that the game would be declared a 2-0 Daniel victory in five innings, putting the Lady Lions in the winners' bracket and Chapman in the losers' bracket.
The SCHSL initially turned down Chapman's appeal Wednesday morning and the school sought a court injunction later in the day. It's not clear if that move impacted the SCHL's late afternoon announcement.
Freezing the playoffs also meant Daniel's Wednesday night game at Union Co, which was underway when the announcement of the appeal came down, was called off.
