GREENVILLE, S.C. -

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office says they've arrested a suspect in the robbery of a Wells Fargo Bank on May 1st.

Deputies say the robbery happened at the Wells Fargo location at 2312 West Parker Road.

Deputies say they were able to obtain enough evidence through several Crimestoppers tips.

Deputies say late Wednesday afternoon, 41 year old Heath Whitehead was spotted driving on Cedar Lane Road.  A stop was initiated at the intersection of McBeth Street and Hellams Street where Whitehead was taken into custody without incident.

Whitehead was charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

The sheriff's office says Whitehead is currently in the Greenville County Detention Center on $35,000 bond.
