The Oconee County Sheriff's Office has filed additional charges today against Robert Andrew Ivester.
A total of 20 warrants, one warrant for each school in the school district, were served today to Ivester at the Oconee County Detention Center charging him with Disturbing Schools. According to the warrants, Ivester threatened to harm himself and others at a college campus between April 29th and May 3rd. The warrants say that the threats were made by telephone to a probation officer with the Probation Office in Oconee County.
The warrants go on to say that "due to this threat, the Oconee County Schools were placed on code yellow, affecting the teachers and students of the schools from conducting normal activities. These acts were unnecessary and disturbing to the individual schools and the school district."
Ivester turned himself into Probation and Parole officials in Oconee County last Friday morning, May 3rd. The Sheriff's Office canceled all alerts about Ivester at that time and notified the School District of Oconee County as well.
