ANDERSON, SC -

Four people were injured as a result of a wreck in Anderson County Thursday afternoon.

Lance Cpl. Tony Keller of the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the wreck happened at 2:50 p.m. on Travis Road, about five miles south of the city of Anderson.

According to Keller, 22-year-old Marcellus Strickland, of Anderson, was driving east on Travis Road when he attempted to make a turn onto Williams Road and turned in front of a oncoming Buick sedan driven by 58-year-old Elizabeth Simmons, of Anderson. The front of the sedan struck Strickland's vehicle, Keller said.
