Spartanburg, SC -

Spartanburg Public Safety investigators are asking for help in identifying a man who stole four tillers from Home Depot.

According to a report obtained from Public Safety, officers responded to the Home Depot at 121 Dorman Centre Drive on Tuesday. When they arrived, they spoke with a store employee who stated surveillance video showed a man stealing four Front Tine Tillers on Monday.

The officers reviewed the surveillance video, which showed a man drive a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck and park it in the front of the store. The man got out of the truck and entered the store around 2:30 p.m. and returned to his truck later on without making any purchases. The man then sat in the truck until 6 p.m. when he exited the truck and approached the tillers. The man then loaded a tiller, valued at $429, into his truck and left the business.

A couple of hours later, surveillance video shows the same man return to the store. After sitting in his truck for an hour, the man got out and loaded three more tillers in his truck before leaving.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 35 years old, wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans and a red hat. The truck he was driving is believed to be a brown early-90's model Chevrolet S-10 with a stolen South Carolina license tag 1799FJ.

If anyone has any information about the thefts they are asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
