Mann Wins Thriller In 4A Soccer Playoffs

J.L. Mann's James Campbell scored on a header off a throw-in inside of two minutes to go to snap a 1-1 tie and give the Patriots a 2-1 4A upper state playoff win over Fort Mill Thursday night.

Among the baseball Thursday, Wade Hampton scored two fifth inning runs on wild pitches and eliminated Dorman from the 4A upper state playoffs, 4-2.

Wade Hampton now travels to Blythewood Friday needing two wins to claim the upper state title.

In 3A, Eastside shutout Greenville, 13-0, setting up an elimination game with Travelers Rest, which lost at A.C. Flora in Columbia.
