Student robbed overnight near ECU's campus

GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Greenville Police are investigating an overnight robbery near ECU's campus.

An alert sent out to students overnight said a student was robbed of his backpack and laptop computer at around 12:35 Friday morning. He was walking along East Rock Springs Road at the time.

The student told police three suspects robbed him. He did not report seeing any weapons, but was hit in the face during the incident.

The suspects were last seen running toward 10th Street.
