Layoffs Coming To Kemet

SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. -

There's bad news for some Upstate workers Friday.

Kemet is laying off 202 employees in 10 countries.  That includes 37 employees and 27 contracted workers at the company's Simpsonville facility.

Officials say the move will save Kemet $3.8 billion quarterly beginning September 30.
