LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. -

Deputies in Laurens County say they made several arrests following a chase while investigating a larceny.

Investigators say on Thursday, May 9th they were looking into a larceny case in the Enoree Community when they say one of them saw a suspicious vehicle matching the description of the one used in a theft.

When the investigator tried to stop the vehicle, the suspect drove off and led the deputy on a chase that lasted for several minutes.

Deputies say the chase ended when the suspect drove his vehicle into a ditch and surrendered without incident.

Investigators say when they visited a home on Patterson Plant Road in Enoree, they found several pieces of stolen property.  Among the items found were two firearms and items used to measure methamphetamines.

Deputies arrested three more people.

The Laurens County Sheriff's Office says those arrested include 23 year old Robert William Jessie Capps, 22 year old James Andrew Walz, 39 year old Teresa Ann Lell and 40 year old Shannon Leigh Fowler - all of Enoree.

Capps is charged with failure to stop for blue lights, reckless driving, improper tag, and grand larceny.

Walz, Lell and Fowler are all charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and unlawful disposal of methamphetamine waste.  Fowler also faces a charge of accessory after the fact.

All four were taken to the Laurens County Detention Center, where they await a bond hearing.
