Police searching for bank robber in Edenton

EDENTON, N.C. -

Edenton Police need your help looking for a bank robber.

They tell us someone robbed the Generations Community Credit Union on Broad Street around 4:50 Friday afternoon.

The suspect is described as a black male, medium build, dark skinned with a beard wearing a blue in color NY Giants hat, grey in color T-shirt and green in color shorts.  Police say he entered the bank, wrote a note and demanded money from the teller.  He was armed with a dark colored semi automatic handgun and left heading North on Broad Street with an undisclosed amount of money. The teller was not injured during the robbery.

Anyone with information about the identity of this suspect is urged to call Sergeant Laura Wilkins of the Edenton Police Department at 252-482-5144 or 252-482-4444.

A cash reward of up to $1,000.00 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of this suspect.
