Spartanburg Public Safety investigators are looking for a person who vandalized parts of Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium and stole the American Flag.

According to an incident report obtained from Spartanburg Public Safety, a officer responded to the auditorium on Thursday morning after receiving the complaint. The officer spoke with the Assistant Manager who advised him that a man was observed on surveillance video early in the morning vandalizing the property.

According to the report, the front building light fixture covers were removed from the wall lamps, a wall lamp was damaged when the cover was ripped from the light unit and several cigarette urns had been overturned. Further investigation revealed that the American flag was stolen from the flag pole.  

The identity of the suspect is not known.
