Spartanburg Man Arrested In Drug Raid Friday

Spartanburg County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man during a drug bust Friday.

David Earl Hines, 29, of Spartanburg, was arrested at a home on Anchor Street after the sheriff's office SWAT Team and Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at the home. Hines was charged with two counts of drug possession and one count of possession of drugs.

According to an incident report obtained from the sheriff's office, the SWAT Team used force to enter the residence. After securing the home, narcotics investigators entered the home and conducted a search for drugs. According to the report, investigators found four plastic bags containing a white substance, one bag containing a "plant-like" material, $986 in cash and paperwork and banking account information with Hines name on it.

The report states that the white substance tested positive for cocaine.

Hines is currently being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center on $225,000 bond.
