Elite Basketball Academy Coming To Area

The 22ft Basketball Academy has established a partnership with Shannon Forest Christian School in Greenville and the organization that develops elite high school players for the major college level, or pro ranks overseas, will move in for the coming school year.

22ft, named for the minimum distance of the international three-point line, was established in Europe and will draw players from high school age down to 13-years-old from across the nation and around the world to its new location in the upstate.

The program will be separate from Shannon Forest athletics but its players will attend classes with the school's students.

The programs organizers say they emphasizing academics with basketball.  

They'll compete on against other elite teams across the country and this past season, playing in the program's first year in Kentucky, won nearly 30 games.
