Tampa parents accused of leaving child in car out on bond

TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

A Tampa couple charged with aggravated child abuse for leaving their son in the car for several hours bonded out Friday morning. They didn't have the first court appearance.

Alexander Rosario and Douceaymee Lopez-Alvarez thought the other brought their 23-month-old son in from the car on April 16. Istead he remained strapped in his car seat outside the family home on 127th Avenue East for almost eight hours. The parents realized what happened and brought him in.

Doctors treated and relesed the boy from the hospital. The Child Protective Investigations Division representatives take care of him and his siblings now.

Initally authorities didn't file any charges, the the State Attorney's Office took over the case in April.

Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies arrested Rosario and Lopez-Alvarez on a charge of aggravated child abuse Thursday. The couple were released on $7500 bond each Friday morning.
