BOLIVIA, N.C. -

Brunswick County Deputies busted an illegal liquor drinking spot and seized nearly $50,000 at the place over the Memorial Day weekend, authorities say.

The illegal bar was in rough shape according to photos released by deputies. It was in complete disarray with a bare plywood floor and most of the furniture was broken or ripped apart.

Behind the bar were dozens of empty beer cans and the ceiling appeared covered in mold.

Warren Davis Evans, 61, of Friendship Loop Road in Bolivia, was charged with 1 count of possession of alcohol for sale without obtaining proper ABC permits and revenue license.

Cash in the amount of $47,785.00 was seized as a result of this arrest, said Emily Flax, spokesperson for the Brunswick Sheriff's Department.
