I-85 Back Open After Cherokee County Accidents

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports I-85 northbound is open again Friday morning in Cherokee County after two accidents.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol tells us two accidents are causing traffic problems on I-85 in Cherokee County Friday morning.   Troopers are investigating accidents at the 89 and 91 milemarkers in the northbound lanes.  

SCDOT cameras show a tractor trailer is blocking northbound lanes near the 91 milemarker.  The far right lane is open for traffic to pass through.   Traffic is backed up from the accident at milemarker 89.

Allow extra time if traveling northbound on I-85.
