Candler, NC -

A Weaverville teen has been charged with killing two people in Candler, North Carolina.

Eighteen-year-old Kevin Levis Davis is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of vehicle theft.

Sixty-three-year-old Sandra Ratcliff Thomas and 55-year-old Joseph Dembinski were found dead as officials investigated a fire in her home Tuesday.

Davis was arrested Wednesday in Lincolnton.

Buncombe County Sheriff Van Duncan said he could not discuss details of the case, including how Thomas and Dembinski were killed. He would not say whether investigators think the fire was set to cover up their deaths.

Davis could face a death sentence or life in prison without parole if he is convicted.  His next hearing is scheduled June 27.
