Clemson Meeting Monday: Water and Sewer Fee Hike Possible

Water and sewer fees could increase for people in Clemson.

Under a plan city council will consider water fees may go up as follows:

Water:

-Raise customer charge for water by $0.46 per month, from $8.80 to $9.26 for customers in corporate limits.

-Raise customer charge for water by $.92 per month, from $8.80 per month to $9.72

Water volume:

- Raise fee $0.15 from $2.85 to $3.00 per 1,000 gallons used inside corporate limits.

-Raise fee $0.36 from $3.99 to $4.35 per 1,000 gallons used inside corporate limits.

Sewer:

-Raise customer fee by $1.45 from $10.55 per month to $12.00 per month for customers inside corporate limits.

-Raise customer fee outside corporate limits by $2.05 monthly from $10.55 per month to $12.60 per month.

Sewer Volume:

-Raise customer charge inside corporate limits by $0.27 per 1,000 gallons of consumption from $3.40 to $3.67.

-Raise customer charge outside corporate limits by $0.56 per 1,000 gallons of consumption from $4.76 to $5.32.

A public hearing will be held on Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the Clemson City Hall community room, located at 1250 Tiger Boulevard.
