Lattimore Records Ad For South Carolina Lottery

COLUMBIA, S.C. -

San Francisco 49ers running back Marcus Lattimore has recorded two "Play Responsibly" ads for the South Carolina Education Lottery.

The State newspaper reported the former South Carolina running back was paid $20,000 for one 30-second and one 15-second ad. They are expected to run for a year.

Lattimore recorded the ads at Williams-Brice Stadium with lottery director Paula Harper Bethea. The ads cut between Lattimore highlights and a conversation in the stadium between Lattimore and Bethea.

He is the first celebrity to appear in the "Play Responsibly" commercials.

Professional wrestler Ric Flair and game show personalities Vanna White and Pat Sajak have promoted lottery games.

Lattimore also is working with Charleston's First Choice by Select Health of South Carolina to encourage 17-to-21-year-olds to take advantage of medical wellness visits.
