Anderson County Deputies Investigating Club Shooting

Anderson County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a shooting at a local nightclub that happened early Wednesday morning. Witnesses reported gunfire at Andrew's on Cinema Center just before 2:00 a.m.

Deputies say two people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  20-year-old Walter Lee Mattison, Jr. and 25-year-old Lavara Nashun Sullivan were taken to AnMed Health by personal vehicle.   Investigators say Mattison was shot in the right hand the Sullivan had gunshot wound to the right foot.

Captain Garland Major with the sheriff's office says Mattison was taken into custody by the Anderson Police Department and Sullivan was arrested by his department on unrelated charges. 

Major says no charges have been filed in this incident and investigators continue to search for evidence and interview nightclub patrons.
