ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. -

Deputies in Anderson County are investigating an early morning robbery at a Subway restaurant in Powdersville.

Investigators say the manager at the store was robbed at gunpoint around 7 a.m. at the location on Highway 153.

The manager says describes the suspect as a black male wearing dark clothing, and a mask and gloves. 

The suspect forced the manager inside the store, demanded money from the safe, then hit the victim in the head and got away with the cash.

The manager was injured, however was not admitted to the hospital.
