SALUDA, S.C. -

One person is dead after a drowning in Saluda County.

It happened at Lake Murray at the public boat landing on Riverbend Point.

Newberry County Rescue officials say they along with Saluda and Union County rescue teams got the call at 4:45 pm Sunday.

The name of the person has not been released.
