MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) - A Myrtle Beach man told police he was attacked while riding his moped Sunday evening and beaten with his own prosthetic leg.

According to a Myrtle Beach police report, the 43-year-old victim said he was riding his moped north-bound on Yaupon Drive around 6:30 p.m. when a man pushed him off and began to assault him.

The victim claimed one man held him down while Joel Parrish, 35, of Myrtle Beach kicked and punched him before using the victim's prosthetic leg to beat him again.

The victim was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center and received stitches for a cut near his eye, the report said.

Parrish was arrested Monday morning and charged with assault and battery, 2nd degree.
