Keeping golf courses in good playing shape throughout the year is a never-ending battle for course superintendents.
A few years ago, Tim Kreger was contemplating a way to keep funding strong at universities for research to help in this cause and he came up with a concept that would enable those who play the game to help.
Thus, the Rounds 4 Research program was born. It conducts auctions at various points in the year and enables golfers to bid on opportunities to play courses wherer they might not normally have access.
Kreger says the money raised then goes into funding for research programs at Clemson and N.C. State within the Carolinas as well as other universities around the nation.

The next auction takes place August 1st through 11th.
